  • Memphis was led by Broadway and National Tour veterans, including George L. Brown (Once on This Island, Elf The Musical) as Delray Farrell, Michele Ragusa (Flying Over Sunset, Young Frankenstein, Urinetown) as Gladys Calhoun, and Ryan Gregory Thurman (Elf The Musical, After Midnight) as Bobby Dupree. The Lex was also thrilled to introduce two spectacular young Rising Stars, Jalyn Crosby (Univ. of Alabama) as Felicia Farrell and Karsen Guldan (Kent State) as Huey Calhoun.

    Supporting Roles for Memphis were played by Wesley Byers (Perry Como/Frank Dryer), Brance Cornelius (Mr. Collins/Martin Holton), Karyn Czar (Clara), Lyndell Finger (Wailin’ Joe), Dan Hasty (Mr. Simmons), Jackson Hurt (Buck Wiley/Gordon Grant) and Jordan Okeke (Gator).

    The ensemble was once again comprised of local professionals and students/graduates from across the country including Anaiya Adwaters (UNC - Greensboro), Mya Bryant (Sam Houston State University), Cole Campbell, Nathan Fister, Chase Fontenot (Montclair State Univ.), Alloria Frayser (Univ. of Cincinnati - CCM), Nick Gundrum (Univ. of Cincinnati - CCM), Anne-Sophie Hill (Elon Univ.), Morgan Lewis (Syracuse Univ.), Nathaniel Mahone (Univ. of Oklahoma), Mallorie Mendoza (Manhattan School of Music), Daryn Polzin (Oklahoma City Univ.), Anthony Savino (Montclair State Univ.), Renell Taylor (Elon Univ.), Sam Yousuf (Univ. of Cincinnati - CCM), and Jess Zylstra (Univ. of Cincinnati - CCM).

  • Eric Jackson (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Young Frankenstein) was the Director for Memphis, and Mara Newbery Greer (A Christmas Story, Shrek Tour) was the Choreographer. The Lex Resident Music Director, Brock Terry, music directed and conducted The Lex Orchestra, comprised of spectacular instrumentalists from across Central Kentucky.

    Additional Creative Team Members included Tanya Harper (Lighting Design), Marcus Ross (Sound Design), Kevin D. Nedberg (Production Coordinator), Brandon T. Holmes (Production Stage Manager), Travis M. Grant (Costume Coordination), Melissa Katherine Collins (Stage Manager), Nathaniel Beliveau (Associate Music Director), Michael Rintamaa (Rehearsal Accompanist), Jan Masters Yon (Costume Shop Manager), Jeff Richardson (Assistant Lighting Designer), Elizabeth McGuire (Associate Director/Choreographer - The Sound of Music), and Susan Stephens (ASL Interpretation.)

  • The Lex Resident Music Director, Brock Terry, conducted The Lex Orchestra, comprised of spectacular instrumentalists from across Central Kentucky.

    Nathaniel Beliveau, Casey DeMattina, Jason Dovel, Luke Jackson, Bradley Kerns, Paul Reich, Michael Robinson and Jeremiah True.

  • Participants in the College Intern/Apprentice/Observer Program included Haley Robles (Elon Univ.) as Stage Management Intern, Wesley Byers (Ball State Univ.) as Music Intern, Julia Sutherland (Univ. of Kentucky) as Administrative Intern and Morgan Hutchins (Middle Tennessee State Univ.) as Wardrobe/Wig Intern. Wardrobe Apprentices include Christina Haffler and Brodie Blair (Berea College).

  • HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING

    Central Kentucky Students participate in our Youth and High School Apprentice Program - gaining experience both onstage and behind the scenes.

    Performing Apprentices included Sarah A. Collins (SCAPA - Lafayette), Emma Hackworth (George Rogers Clark) and Jaila Yeast (East Jessamine).

    High School Technical Apprentices included Rachel “Bowie” Bowman (Frederick Douglass), Chloe Gaddis (Winburn), Taylor Hatfield (Bryan Station), Jacob Masterson (Scott County), Luke Palmer (Lexington Catholic), Mia Ainsley Smith (Home School), Delaney Walton (Lafayette), and Kody White (West Jessamine).
