  • Chicago closed the 2022 summer season at The Lexington Theatre Company.

    Chicago was led by a host of Broadway veterans including J. Daughtry (Ain’t Too Proud, The Color Purple, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as Billy Flynn, Lexington’s own Haley Fish (Kiss Me Kate, Hello Dolly, Cats) as Velma, and Kristin Yancy (The Cher Show, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical) as Roxie.  Altamiece Carolyn Cooper played Mama Morton, a role she has played around the country at numerous regional theatres; Brance Cornelius returned for a second summer show to play Amos; and University of Kentucky alum and Drag Star, Gilda Wabbit, played Mary Sunshine. 

    Rounding out the ensemble and supporting roles were college students and recent grads from top musical theatre programs around the country including Lindsay Lee Alhady (University of Oklahoma), Travis Anderson (University of Michigan), Jamie Dee Bradley (Belmont University), Wesley Byers (Ball State University), Jordan DeLeon (University of Oklahoma), Brady Foley (Florida State University), Alloria Frayser (Cincinnati Conservatory of Music), Anna Hertel (Elon University), Ginger Hurley (University of Oklahoma), Nicholas Kraft (University of Michigan), Sydni Moon (University of Oklahoma), Paris Porché Richardson (University of Oklahoma), Julianne Roberts (Elon University), Eric Shawn (Texas State University), Greg Sim (Rider University), Renell Taylor (Elon University), Meridien Terrell (Marymount Manhattan College), and Devin L. Watson (Western Kentucky University).

  • Direction and Choreography by Patrick O’Neill (School of Rock, Chicago Tour).  Music Director and Conductor was The Lex Resident Music Director, Brock Terry.

    The Production Team included Tanya Harper (Lighting Designer), Dixon Reynolds (Costume Designer for Chicago), Marcus Ross (Sound Designer), Brandon T. Holmes (Production Stage Manager), Kyrsten Goodrich (Stage Manager), Kevin Nedberg (Production Coordinator), Nathan Fister (Associate Choreographer), Michael Rintamaa (Rehearsal Accompanist), Morgan Saaf-White (Costume Shop Manager), Kathrin Thawley (Associate Music Director), Susan Stephens (American Sign Language Interpreter), Jeff Richardson (Assistant Lighting Designer).

  • Participants in the College Intern/Apprentice/Observer Program included Sadie Lawrence (UK) as Technical Production Intern, Haley Robles (Elon University) as Stage Management Intern, Harrison Roth (Baldwin Wallace University) as Music Intern, Andrea Salazar (UK) as Administrative Intern and Morgan Wood (Savannah College of Art and Design) as Wardrobe Intern. 

    Stage Management Apprentices included Jayla Durham (William Peace University), Julia Anne Koenig (UK) and KJ Wilkerson (UK). Julia Sutherland (UK) served as Administrative Apprentice. Kate Sexton (Bluegrass Community & Technical College) joined as a Direction Observer on Chicago.

  • HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING

    We had two Central Kentucky students, Sophia Cooper (SCAPA Lafayette) and Nate Krohmer (SCAPA Lafayette), take part in the Youth and High School Apprentice Program - both onstage and behind the scenes.
